About Orer
Small companies feel the economy before the aggregates do. Orer covers small business, markets and operations from inside the firm: the pricing decision, the invoice that arrived late, the supplier who moved to net fifteen, the hire made or postponed. It is written for founders, operators, and the accountants and lenders sitting beside them.
Format is analysis and explainer. A piece usually begins with a number an owner recognizes — gross margin, inventory turn, days sales outstanding — and works outward to the market condition that moved it. Sponsored write-ups do not appear, nor do success stories with the balance sheet left out. When a tactic works only at a particular scale, the piece says at what scale.
Small Business handles the daily decisions of running a firm with few people and no slack. Markets reads demand, input costs and competitive shifts as they affect smaller operators. Entrepreneurship follows the founding stage: validation, first customers, funding that does not require a term sheet. Finance covers borrowing, invoicing, tax timing and the arithmetic of survival. Operations goes into scheduling, inventory, suppliers and process. Markets News reports price and demand movements as they break, and Business News carries company results, closures and rule changes with direct consequences for small firms.
